We are not a franchise, all of our games and puzzles are one-of-a-kind, designed and built by us! All of the games we have built so far, have had some RI history weaved in, since we are Little Rhody natives, this will always be part an important part of our themes.

Owners - There are only 2 of us. Born and raised Rhode Islanders, we’ve been friends since middle school and always shared a passion for adventure.

Hello I’m Byron. I started The Riddle Room in 2016 with Kara. Running The Riddle Room is my absolute passion. My entrepreneurial spirit which led to the development of The Riddle Room encompasses my creative and artistic ability as well as my desire to host and entertain. The extreme joy that flows through my veins when designing and building the puzzles is only magnified as I watch teams receive the same satisfaction while playing them. I truly love what I do, and every customer that comes in my door!

A veteran e-commerce professional and entrepreneur, Kara Zanni (JWU '09) has fifteen years of digital marketing and consumer product experience. Kara began her career managing merchandising for several national and multinational consumer brands. She later expanded her managerial role to include social media, digital marketing strategy, and design. Her focus on consumer experience and her passion for art and creativity is what led her to start the Riddle Room with Byron.

Chief of Operations

Hello I’m Jenn and I am the COO of the Riddle Room. I’ve been working at the Riddle Room for 6 years now! I help with maintenance, puzzle building, and mentoring our gamemasters.

Edeline Sjögren
Principal Artist and VP of Communications

Hello! My name is Edeline, and I’m the Supervisor of Communications and artist for the Riddle Room. When I’m not at work, I’m usually drawing, going to concerts, or spending time with family and friends. I am also a student at URI, and major in both fine arts and French.
